Youth Center seeking donations
During the month of November, the Miamisburg Youth Center is asking local businesses to sponsor a challenge drive to raise money for the center. The community is asked to donate during November matching their donations with those of the sponsors making their gifts go further
The sponsors this year include, Miamisburg Moose, Farmers and Merchants Bank, River Valley Credit Union, and Edward Jones Investments.
United Way accounts for approximately a third of center funding and the rest is made up from donations and fund raisers.
The youth center is now 33 years old and has served thousands of Miamisburg kids during that time.
The youth center provides fun and educational activities for students ages 8-15 at no cost to participants. Caring adults offer guidance and supervision.
The center is open after school from 2:30-7:15 p.m. It is located at 224 Maple Ave.
Donations may be bought to the center or mailed to PO Box 283, Miamisburg Ohio 45343.
Checks can be made payable to Miamisburg Youth Center.

Moose donates to Youth Center
Miamisburg Moose Lodge No. 1645 recently presented a $5,000.00 check to the Miamisburg Youth Center's annual fundraiser. The Moose Lodge became a major supporter of the center in 2003 when the center lost funding form the Mound and faced cutbacks in United Way funding and the lodge plans to continue their support of the center in the future.
